How does one become “excited” about exercise? Really, I’d like to know. With my gym only a few feet away, the only requirement is that I pop in the shower and jump into my gym clothes. Yet, it’s always such a painful ordeal. Initially, I figured – well, if I update my workout wardrobe I’ll feel better about it.
Wrong.
I’ve accepted that I’ll never be at the gym every day or even every week. I will, however, make it there at least once a month. My routine has been tweaked a bit: lunges, squats, elliptical. This usually lasts for a little less than an hour. Following each hour-long workout, I take a stroll on the beach and cool down before taking a refreshing shower – made even more delicious by my eucalyptus bath bar. Yum!

I haven’t been around for quite a while. I wanted to mark the significance of this weekend’s efforts by making an entry. I’ve taken a few steps towards becoming and remaining carefree amidst the madness called life. I’ve made my home my oasis, the peaceful place I rest my head. De-cluttering and reorganizing my vanity, bathroom vanities, and bookshelves has provided me with unbelievable peace of mind. My mind has long been cluttered and my thoughts no longer danced freely; I quickly realized that this was due to my cluttered home. This small change has led to me waking up with a smile and happily looking forward to popping over to my vanity in order to go through my “girly” routines. Each weekend I reassess my body – buff my nails, change my polish, make sure my brows are in excellent shape. I really enjoy being a woman; more so now, being that my sanctuary has gotten a mini facelift!
